Join the Self.xyz Hackathon at ETH SF!
We’re thrilled to announce the Self.xyz Hackathon happening this week at ETH SF. Whether you’re a seasoned developer or a curious Web3 explorer, this is your chance to build cutting-edge, privacy-preserving identity solutions using the Self.xyz protocol. With zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), secure attestations, and a robust SDK, Self.xyz provides the tools you need to tackle real-world identity challenges—all while keeping user data private.
What Is Self.xyz?
Self.xyz is a decentralized identity protocol that empowers users to cryptographically verify personal attributes without exposing private information. At the core are zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), which enable selective disclosure of identity data. Users can prove specific attributes (e.g., age, compliance status) without revealing the actual underlying data. This opens up exciting possibilities for Web3 and traditional apps requiring trust and verified credentials—without sacrificing user privacy.
Hackathon Overview
During ETH SF, we’ll be kicking off a contest to see who can build the most innovative, privacy-first dApps or integrations using Self.xyz. Bring your ideas, form a team, and start hacking—we can’t wait to see what you create!
Example Project Ideas
OFAC Sanctions Compliance: Let users prove they’re not sanctioned—no personal data revealed.
Age Verification: A zero-knowledge approach to proving age without disclosing birthdate.
Decentralized Recovery: Build a secure wallet recovery system backed by verified identity attestations.
