Mavu integrated Self in August 2025, recognizing the importance of verified humanity and identity credentials as the app rapidly scaled beyond 100K users. By verifying workers through Self's ZK credentials, Mavu could confirm humanity and eligibility without storing sensitive user data - solving a compliance problem as much as a product one. The platform has since grown to over 412,000 registered users, completing more than 1.6 million tasks.

Since that early integration, the agentic web grew from a prediction to an inescapable reality - and an opportunity for Self and Mavu to partner at scale. The need for human-agent coordination with privacy-first identity solutions opened up an entirely new chapter for the partnership: MavuClaw.

MavuClaw is a human layer for agents - connecting AI agents to a global workforce of verified human workers for tasks that require human execution. Agents post micro-tasks, MavuClaw matches them to workers who have verified their humanity and any unique eligibility criteria (age, nationality, etc.), with seamless stablecoin payments built in.

The identity layer is powered by Self Agent ID. Users scan their passport in the Self app and receive an A2A-compatible identity card carrying whichever credentials they choose to share (proof of humanity, age, nationality, etc.) with personal data never leaving their device. When an agent posts a task with eligibility requirements, MavuClaw verifies workers against those credentials without ever accessing or storing the underlying data. Each passport generates a unique nullifier, so sybil resistance isn't a feature bolted on after the fact - it's what the whole system is built on.
