As agentic commerce reached mainstream consciousness over the past few weeks, one of the largest gaps was the lack of AI agent support for Amazon checkouts. As Self Labs builds the infrastructure for a secure, open agentic web, we’re working to give every assistant worldwide the tools to check out on every site. Amazon customers place over 15 million orders daily, so addressing the need for agentic compatibility was necessary, and fast. Just a few weeks after launching Agent Vault, a payment and login layer for AI agents to sign in and complete purchases on a human’s behalf, Self Labs has solved one of the agentic ecosystem’s most urgent needs.

Today, Agent Vault added direct support for Amazon checkouts, as well as other big retailers like Best Buy, Target and Walmart, for Grok Bot, Muse, Claude, Hermes, OpenClaw, and more of your favorite AI assistants. Users can enable payment and login access to let their agent shop on Amazon for them, without their agent ever seeing the private information. Agent Vault is built with user controls to ensure an agent never goes rogue, with a dashboard for setting budgets by day, week, month, or transaction, a kill switch, and more.

Agent Vault keeps users’ payment and login information out of the agent entirely, so the agent holds nothing worth stealing. When an agent checks out, it fills in the form with mock tokens, placeholders that carry no value of their own and only work inside an authorized session. The real card number is only revealed within a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), which completes the payment, so the store sees an ordinary card transaction. Logins work the same way, with real usernames and passwords swapped in by Self’s proxy at the moment of sign-in, out of the agent’s view.

Since launching on October 15th, Agent Vault has been used across hundreds of websites, from finding the best deals on eBay, to renewing subscriptions on Vercel and more. People have trusted their Grok Bot, Muse, Codex, Claude Code, ChatGPT and other agents to log in and pay on their behalf without concern of overspending or information leaking.

Frontier labs across the AI industry have worked to unlock support for Amazon, the largest online retailer in the world. Self Labs figured it out, enabling Amazon functionality for agents through a retail ordering partner, so the agent never has to open Amazon’s site or go through checkout. The agent finds what the user asked for and gets a price quote, then Agent Vault places the order and bills the user’s card, so their statement shows Agent Vault, not Amazon. The same controls apply, and the user approves every order, including the first one. If the total, with shipping, comes in above the set maximum, the order fails and nothing is charged.
